About the Author: Benjamin J. Sommers

Love of storytelling

My work begins with affection for the craft of language and for telling a compelling story that will engage readers of all ages.  A lifelong Roald Dahl fan, I was inspired to continue Charlie Bucket's adventures after our two children completed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory along with Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator.  The kids were so disappointed to learn there wasn't a third book in the series...until now!  Crafted over the span of three months one could not imagine a more demanding publisher than an eager child who wants to hear the next part of the story every evening before they go to bed.  The book was a joy to create and I hope Roald Dahl fans everywhere, children and adults alike, will enjoy this exciting new story.  And we weren't done yet!  The writing journey continued with an original work entitled The Most Unusual Adventures of Naomi Strange, The Most Ordinary Girl in the World.  Then it was back the World of Wonka once again with Charlie's Chocolate Factory and the Purple Hand of Destiny.  I hope everyone enjoys these exciting new stories!

The Practice

I am a working writer. I am dedicated to sitting down to write every day. It is a practice, a joy, and a journey.

The Result

My writing grows with feedback from my readers!  Please come to a reading or signing event and share your experience!
